Virginia Youth Soccer Shines in Woodbridge and Northern Virginia
The youth soccer scene in Northern Virginia is renowned for its high level of competition, and La Bestia Elite is proud to be part of this thriving community. Based in Woodbridge, Virginia, our teams recently competed in the prestigious Copa Talento tournament, a premier event that attracts top-tier talent from across the state and beyond.
Copa Talento: The Pinnacle of Virginia Youth Soccer
Copa Talento is widely regarded as one of the most competitive youth soccer tournaments in Virginia. Teams from all over the DMV (District, Maryland, and Virginia) area & beyond come to compete, but it’s often the clubs from Northern Virginia that come out on top, showcasing the region’s exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
La Bestia Elite’s Impressive Performance
La Bestia Elite took three teams to this year’s Copa Talento: our U11 boys (2013 boys), U9 mixed team (2015 and 2016 boys playing up), and our U8 mixed team (2016 and 2017 players playing up). Each team demonstrated remarkable skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the three-day tournament, despite the scorching 90+ degree weather. Our U11 boys had an outstanding run, advancing to the semi-finals and coming incredibly close to making it to the finals. Their performance was a testament to their hard work and the high level of coaching they receive.
A Proud Moment for La Bestia Elite
We were thrilled to see so many current and past La Bestia Elite players at the tournament. Many guest players and alumni now play for top teams at clubs like PWSI, Alexandria, Arlington, SYC, Team America, Gunston, OWS, Cipriani, and more. Their continued success is a testament to the strong foundation and training they received with La Bestia Elite.
Proud Moments and Future Goals
We are immensely proud of all our current & past players for their dedication and performance at Copa Talento. Competing against teams that often include top players from various clubs in the DMV area, our boys showed that La Bestia Elite can stand toe-to-toe with the best.
As we look forward to future tournaments, we remain committed to providing our players with the training, support, and opportunities they need to continue excelling in youth soccer. Northern Virginia’s youth soccer scene is one of the most competitive in the country, and La Bestia Elite is excited to contribute to and benefit from this vibrant community.
Extra shout out to Johan for being selected as one of Copa Talento U11 All-Star Team Players! He had so many epic saves as keeper in this tournament. He was so fun to watch, and we are very proud!
