Over the Fourth of July weekend, La Bestia Elite traveled to Richmond, VA, to compete in the high-level Copa Talento tournament—and our young athletes showed up and showed out.

We brought four teams—and all four advanced to the quarter-finals. That’s right—100% of our teams made it past the group stage in one of the region’s most competitive youth tournaments!

Here’s a breakdown of how our squads performed:

  • 2013 & 2015 Teams: Battled through tough matchups to earn their spots in the quarter-finals.
  • 2017 Team: Pushed through to the semi-finals, proving that our youngest players have serious heart and hustle.
  • 2016 Team: Fought their way to the finals, finishing as finalists after a dramatic penalty shootout. It was a nail-biter finish that had every parent, coach, and player on the edge of their seat!

With temperatures soaring into the 90s, each team played between 5 to 7 games in just three days. The grit, determination, and sportsmanship displayed by our players were nothing short of inspiring. These kids gave it everything they had—and then some.

We couldn’t be more proud of our players, coaches, and families.
